Cupcakes and Code seeks to seed a culture, community, and skill in coding among middle school girls.
We give parents tools to bring girls come together with their friends, to have fun, create, hack and learn.
ABOUT
When we wanted our middle school daughter to learn basics of coding, we thought we'd have to travel far, and pay for expensive camps. It seemed daunting.
One day, we realized we have much of what we need right here in our community...we just hadn't realized it. What was needed was a formula that lines up with what middle schoolers care about.
We tapped into some tried-and-true community principles, to design a program, and stumbled upon a formula that seems to have legs. So we wanted to share it with you.
